Bluefins make history at the 2025 Hampshire County Championships

The 2025 Hampshire Age Group and Youth Championships will be remembered as one of the most successful County campaigns.

Across three action-packed weekends, our swimmers delivered a huge number of medals, finals, personal bests and club records. From our youngest 10-year-olds stepping onto the County stage to our senior swimmers chasing national qualification times, performances were strong across every level of the club.

Bluefins finished as the 3rd ranked club overall, our highest-ever finish at Hampshire Counties. This reflects not just standout swims, but the consistency and depth being built across the programme.

The relays once again brought energy and connection to the championships, with Bluefins teams producing medals, finals and several well-executed performances across the programme.

The Open Men’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay was a standout moment, with Coach Spencer joining Bradley, Piaras and Oli S to secure a bronze medal. A rare opportunity for coach and swimmers to race side by side, and a great example of the shared environment across the club.

Our 10–14yrs swimmers delivered a strong set of performances, showing clear progress across strokes, distances and race skills. The depth of finalists in this age group highlights the strength of the pathway coming through.

Hampshire Counties 2025 – Over and Out

With the final races complete, Bluefins leave the 2025 Hampshire County Championships with one of the strongest returns in the club’s history — medals, finals, records and a 3rd place overall finish.

From first-time County swimmers to experienced athletes racing at the highest level, this was a clear reflection of the direction of the club.
