The People Behind Bluefins
Every training session, every licensed meet and every competition weekend relies on volunteers who organise, officiate, coach and coordinate. Most are parents. Some are Masters swimmers. Others once swam here themselves. They step forward because they care about how the club is delivered and how it represents itself.
Their involvement allows squads across Skills Academy, Competitive, County, Performance, Fitness, Junior Masters, Masters, Water Polo and inclusive swimming.

Supporting the Coaching Environment
National research has reported elevated levels of anxiety and depression among UK swimming coaches. While Bluefins does not reflect these findings, the study offers a timely reminder that coaching carries demands that deserve recognition and support.
The research, published in The Sport Psychologist by Nottingham Trent University and funded by the British Swimming Coaches Association, called for greater attention to coach wellbeing across the sport.

Investing in Coaches' Learning
Bluefins is a community sport club built on volunteer commitment and professional standards. Coaching sits at the centre of that model.
