Hampshire County Qualifying Times - 2026

Every season, Swim England Hampshire publishes the official County Qualifying Times (QTs) — the performance standards swimmers must achieve to enter the Hampshire County Championships.

New to Swimming?  -  What does all this mean?

If you’re just starting out in competitive swimming, the world of QTs, rankings, windows, and age bands can feel confusing at first.
Don’t worry — we’ve got you.

Before diving into the times below, take a moment to explore our Parent Guides:

    •    County Qualifying Times (QTs)

    •    Rankings Explained

    •    Licensed Meets

These guides break everything down in simple, clear language so you know exactly how the sport works and
how these times fit into your swimmer’s journey.

A vital note on the times below:

The qualifying times shown here use your swimmer’s 2026 age band, not their current age in 2025.

County Championships always use age on 31st December of the competition year —
so make sure you’re checking the correct age group for your swimmer.

How to Convert Times (SC ↔ LC) — and Why It Matters for Counties

👉 Swimming has two pool lengths:

    •    Short Course (SC) = 25m

    •    Long Course (LC) = 50m

Most swimmers race in both across the season — but County Qualifying Times are usually given in a single format (most often SC times, but sometimes LC).

If your child swims a race in the other pool length, you may need to convert the time to see if it meets the County standard.

That’s where the Swim England Time Converter comes in.

It adjusts a time from 25m → 50m or 50m → 25m, accounting for differences in turns and underwater work.

Why conversions matter:

    •    Your swimmer may have an LC time that becomes an SC QT after conversion.

    •    Rankings automatically convert for entry, but parents often want to compare quickly.

    •    Many new swimmers race mostly SC — conversions help you understand how close they are to the LC standard.

If in doubt, ask a coach — we use the same converter when checking your swimmer’s Counties progress.

Find Your Child’s Best Times — Using Their Swim England Bio

Every swimmer in the country has a Swim England Online Profile (often called their Bio).

It updates automatically after every licensed race and shows:

  • Their PBs (Short Course & Long Course)

  • All events they’ve swum

  • Their rankings in club, county, region, and country

  • Dates and meets where the times were achieved

It’s the easiest way for parents to check:

  • “Is that a PB?”

  • “Is this time inside the County Consideration Time?”

  • “Where does my swimmer rank in Hampshire?”

How to find it:

Just type their name into Swim England Rankings, click their profile, and you’ll see their full history in one place.

Your child’s Bio is the quickest way to stay informed — and the best tool for following their progress throughout the season.
