Hampshire County Championship 2025

Bluefins Masters continued their winning streak at the 2025 Hampshire Masters Championships in Portsmouth, securing Top Club once again and proudly retaining the County Champion title.

With more than 30 swimmers competing — from first-time racers to long-time Masters — the Bluefins squad showed depth, experience, and trademark team spirit throughout the meet. Every lane had something to cheer for: personal bests, podium finishes, and plenty of laughter between races.

This latest victory extends our record as Hampshire’s Top Team (2010–2017, 2019–2025) — a run built on consistency, camaraderie, and love for the sport.

It was also another fantastic moment for our Sharks Disability Squad (18+), who joined the Masters lineup for selected events. Their performances captured the true heart of the Bluefins ethos — participation, pride, and support for one another.

💬 “It’s not just about medals — it’s about the shared experience,” said Head of Swimming, Spencer Turner.

“Every swimmer who steps on the blocks helps build the team’s legacy.”

British, European and World Records!

Our Masters have achieved remarkable success at national and international level, with standout performances across the British, European, and World Masters Championships in recent years.

Bluefins swimmers have set multiple individual British Records across age groups and proudly hold an impressive collection of British, European, and World Records in mixed, men’s, and women’s relays.

In 2025, Martin Bennell added another chapter to that success — becoming a Triple World Champion, winning three gold medals at the World Masters Championships and flying the Bluefins flag on the global stage.

From local meets to world finals, our Masters continue to prove that Bluefins excellence knows no boundaries.
