More Than Just Racing ✈️🌍

The trip wasn’t all about medals — it was also a fantastic adventure exploring Seattle together. The team visited the Space Needle, the original Starbucks at Pike Place Market (plus countless other Starbucks along the way!), and took a trip to Crystal Mountain, which promised breathtaking views of Mount Rainier — though all they found was freezing fog while shivering in their Bluefins kit and shorts!

They also enjoyed the spectacular lakes surrounding Seattle and even tried something completely different with a visit to an indoor shooting range. These shared experiences made the week just as unforgettable outside the pool as it was inside.

A Championship to Remember

In total, Bluefins Masters achieved an outstanding 9 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze medals, along with several strong top-10 finishes (including 4th in the 200m Freestyle, 5th in the 50m Butterfly, and 7th in the 50m Butterfly). To achieve this across just four days of racing makes the results even more remarkable.

One of the highlights of the week came from Spencer, who not only won double sprint gold but also lowered his own British Record in the 100m Freestyle — a milestone moment for both him and the club.

Beyond the medals, the trip was a celebration of team spirit, new experiences, and lasting memories — proof that Bluefins is not just about performance, but also about friendship, adventure, and shared journeys.

💙 A huge congratulations to our Masters team — inspirational performances and experiences that embody what Bluefins is all about.
