Here’s the truth: without officials, there are no licensed swims, no personal bests on rankings, no records. The even better truth? Any parent can step up and do it.

The 1500m freestyle may be the ultimate test of endurance in swimming, but the 800m sits just behind it — and Bluefins are once again raising the bar. With 83 swimmers entered across all age groups, the 800 at this Sunday’s Club Champs opener promises a showcase of grit, determination, and team spirit.

From Lessons to Squads — The Next Step Swimming lessons give children a fantastic foundation. They learn the strokes, gain water confidence, and start to enjoy the rhythm of regular swimming. But many families reach a stage where lessons alone no longer feel enough. Lanes can be crowded, age ranges are wide, and the opportunity for progress starts to feel limited.
