The Committee

Basingstoke Bluefins Committee are dedicated volunteers who manage the day to day activities of the club, many of whom are parents to our current swimmers and also from years past. With an overwhelming amount of experience in the swimming world and the most current knowledge of good business practices, marketing and social media, our Committee do an amazing job of running the club.
The Committee are present at all home events and have an open door policy. So if see us wandering around poolside or in the club office, feel free to stop us and ask any questions you may have.

The Committee are governed by the board of Trustees.

The Trustees

As a registered charity, Basingstoke Bluefins is goverened by a board of Trustees.

Their main role is to:

  • Formulate plans and policies to bring about the Club's objectives.
  • Support the senior staff members.
  • Ensure the Club is solvent and operates within budget.
  • Oversee and monitor the effectiveness of the appointed Management Committee.

Mission Statement

Basingstoke Bluefins aims to promote community participation, to enable swimmers of all ages and abilities to reach their desired potential in swimming and water polo through excellent learning, tailored squad and high performance training sessions and competition in a friendly, sociable environment improving both personal fitness and life skills for Basingstoke and the surrounding area.
